Since its inception in 2004, Capital Markets & Derivatives Training has specialized in preparing students for the post-graduate Level 6 CISI qualifications in Financial Derivatives and Global Operations Management, achieving a success rate of over 90% for those attending our tailored programmes, with the majority of delegates attaining distinctions and merits, against an overall success rate for candidates taking these two very demanding examinations of typically below 50%.
This is no accident. The two trainers involved, Paul Kitching (Financial Derivatives) and Alan Burr (Global Operations Management) have many years of experience in their respective fields, coupled with their close associations with the CISI.
Paul was a former Chief Examiner of the Level 6 Financial Derivatives paper and later sat on the moderating committee, before being invited to be the course director for this paper for BPP, a global leader in education.
Alan has worked with the CISI for over twenty-five years; he is the original author of the CISI Global Operations Management Study Guide and in addition sits on a number of the Level 3 & Level 4 qualification panels, including the Level 3 Derivatives paper, the Level 3 Operational Risk paper, the Level 3 Technology in Investment paper, and the Level 4 Managing Operational Risk in Financial Institutions paper and is a regular contributor to CISI sponsored CPD seminars.
Capital Markets & Derivatives Training continually goes the extra mile to help delegates with their preparation, from providing complimentary revision days (for some courses), comprehensive course materials, limited class sizes to ensure that every delegate can contribute, as well as on-going email and telephone support from our experienced tutors.
Capital Markets & Derivatives Training is an officially recognised and fully accredited CISI training provider. This means that it adheres to the CISI syllabus and training guidelines to ensure that delegates get the best possible preparation for their CISI exams.

Before achieving accredited training provider (ATP) status, training providers must satisfy the CISI’s requirements and show the capability, expertise and facilities to provide training and support.
An annual review is undertaken to ensure that the most up-to-date activities of the provider are recorded including changes to key contacts, new subjects taught, and that the provider continues to meet the standards of high quality training required.
Training Providers who been granted accredited status are entitled to display the CISI logo.
All qualifying level exams: 4 x 3-hour training sessions.
All courses are available to be run either virtually or live as an in-house offering.
