Level 3 Capital Markets Programme

The Capital Markets Progamme is an entry level qualification designed specifically for professionals starting their careers in the wholesale capital markets, specialising either in cash market securities or their derivatives.

The qualification is increasingly used as a benchmarking tool by major banks and investment firms, and in some cases, by local regulatory bodies, to ensure that staff possess practical knowledge which can be immediately applied to business activities.

There are no entry requirements, but in line with the CISI’s aim to increase ethical awareness, all candidates for the Capital Markets Programme in the UK, Ireland, Europe and North America must pass “IntegrityMatters”, an online integrity challenge, as a pre-requisite to sitting the Capital Markets Programme examinations.

The Capital Markets Programme is achieved by passing a regulatory unit and a Level 3 technical unit in either Securities or Derivatives, all of which are Ofqual regulated qualifications. We offer virtual training in all three units required to gain the qualification:

      • UK Financial Regulation

Technical units

      • L3 Securities
      • L3 Derivatives

All three papers are computer-based, multiple choice question examinations and can be accessed in a location of your choice. For further information follow this link.

On successful completion of the Capital Markets Programme, candidates are admitted as Associate members of the Institute and can use the ACSI designatory letters.

Becoming an Associate publicly demonstrates a commitment to professionalism, integrity and excellence to clients and colleagues. It also shows the effort you have made to undertake financial qualifications and your determination to continue your professional development.
