Level 3 Investment Operations Certificate (IOC)

The Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) is an entry level qualification taken by practitioners globally to enhance their knowledge and skills in the administration and operations areas of the financial services industry. The IOC is suitable for all staff working in, or aspiring to work in, the administration and operations areas of financial services.

To gain the IOC, individuals are required to pass an Introductory unit in Securities & Investment, a Regulatory and a Technical unit, drawn from a long list that is most suited to your working experience or career ambitions.

We offer virtual training in the following units:

      • UK Financial Regulation
      • Introduction to Securities & Investments (incl. International)

Technical Units

      • Derivatives
      • Risk in Financial Services
      • Global Securities Operations
      • Operational Risk

(To see the full list of Regulatory and Technical units and further information on the individual units that we cover and the IOC in general, please refer to the CISI webpage here).

All papers are computer-based, multiple choice question examinations and can be accessed in a location of your choice. For further information follow this link.

Upon successful completion of the IOC, candidates are admitted as Associate members of the Institute and can use the ACSI designatory letters.
Becoming an Associate publicly demonstrates a commitment to professionalism, integrity and excellence to clients and colleagues. It also shows the effort you have made to undertake financial qualifications and your determination to continue your professional development.
