Level 6 Diploma in Investment Operations

The Diploma in Investment Operations offers practitioners the opportunity to specialise in the administration of investment funds and custody and settlement. Within the profession, it is widely acknowledged as the most appropriate higher-level qualification for professionals wanting to pursue a career in investment operations.

Candidates have two routes to gaining the Diploma, the choice being dependent on individual experience and interest:

Route 1
Route 2

On successful completion of the final Level 6 Global Operations Management examination, candidates gain full membership of the Institute and can use the MCSI designatory letters.

Attaining full Member status indicates a high level of knowledge in financial services as well as a commitment to the principles of professionalism, integrity, and excellence. It is both a sign of achieving a higher-level financial qualification, and of a desire for professional development.

This is made clear to colleagues and clients through the designatory letters that all full Members can use – MCSI. This level of membership shows an ongoing ambition to develop knowledge and progress to senior levels within the industry.

It is also a tangible demonstration of a commitment to ethical behaviour – all CISI members must complete an integrity test upon joining, as well as sign up to a code of conduct.
